My First Blog

Hey there! My name is Michaela and I am currently attending Linn Benton Community College to pursue a business degree in accounting! I plan to transfer to Oregon State University to continue my education and pursue my degree with hopes of becoming a certified public accountant. I am taking Marketing to further my knowledge of strategies used in the business world and because it is a requirement for my degree. While taking marketing I am most interested in learning the reasonings behind why companies advertise the way they do and how they use different strategies to appeal to their target audience in the most effective way possible. 

I am from Central Oregon so outside of college I love to spend my time outdoors. I am always looking for a new adventure or something exciting to do. I love to go fishing although my luck is never very good. I also love to go camping at one of the beautiful lakes along the cascade lakes highway in Central Oregon. I  kayak, float the river, wakeboard, four wheel and hike almost every day during the summer with my friends and family as well as my pup, Lucy who goes everywhere I go. While staying in Corvallis during college I spend most of my free time with friends, driving to the nearest big city to spend all of the money we don't have on shopping and trying new restaurants. The little things seem to always be the most exciting to me and I love finding new things to make more memories with.
